Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Stevedores
Left-hander Downey Kennedy mesmerized the Bangor Bishops while leading the Newport Stevedores to a 1-0 victory. Kennedy, now 4-2, was the winner. In 10 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Losses have been rare for the Bishops, who are now 10-3.

The Stevedores procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Rufino García. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"We did just enough to win," Kennedy said.
