The Chicago Colts did just enough to sneak past the New York Giants, 4-3, at West Side Grounds 1894-1915. Chicago pitcher Allen Pitts, in particular, had a standout performance. The win gives Chicago a season record of 30-22.

The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the first inning, when the Colts were trailing 2-1. Charlie Irwin delivered a two-out 2-run single for Chicago, catapulting his team into the lead.

Pitts told a Chicago Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
