Conquistadores Topple Tiburones, 6-3
|
The Guaynabo Conquistadores racked up a win at Jardines de Guaynabo, bumping off the Aguadilla Tiburones, 6-3. Eduardo Muñoz, who started for Guaynabo, pitched effectively for his team. The win elevated the Conquistadores to 65-43.
The Conquistadores got a big at-bat from shortstop René Rebelde. For the game, Rebelde was 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Guaynabo a 2-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Muñoz told the Guaynabo Daily News.
