The Anasco Fundadores eked out a 2-1 win versus the Villalba Avancinos at Jardines de los Fundadores. Nobody did more than pitcher Timoteo González. He was terrific. In 9 innings, González surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Anasco, with the win, is 35-70.

The Avancinos had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Fundadores going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old right fielder Wenceslao Ríos came to the plate. Ríos hit a run-scoring triple on a 1-1 sinker from Villalba hurler Gabriel Mojica. It was Ríos's 6th triple of the year.

González told a Anasco Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
