The San Lorenzo Samaritanos did just enough to sneak past the Juana Diaz Reyes, 3-2, at Estadio de San Lorenzo. San Lorenzo pitcher Luis Bernal, in particular, had a standout performance. San Lorenzo reliever Balduino Charry picked up the win to move to 2-1. Herminio García suffered the loss. The win puts the Samaritanos at 54-43, while the Reyes drop to 56-41.

The Samaritanos relied on left fielder Mateo Santana for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 13th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Bernal said. "That's how it goes."
