The Arroyo Bucaneros eked out a 3-2 win versus the Maricao Cafeteros at Jardines de Arroyo. Nobody did more than pitcher Edelmiro Romero. He was terrific. Romero went the distance for Arroyo. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. After today's action, Arroyo sits at 66-26, while Maricao falls to 51-40.

With two out in the bottom of the fourth, Herodes Tavárez put Arroyo in front, 3-2, with a run-scoring single. The Bucaneros went on to win the ballgame.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Tavárez said after the game.
