The Patillas Cuervos picked up a win at Jardines de los Cuervos, knocking off the Moca Rebeldes, 7-2. Starting pitcher Cristóbal Espinosa played a key role in the triumph. In 9 innings, Espinosa surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. The Cuervos are now 49-41, while the Rebeldes fall to 45-44.
Ernesto Torres, who is a two-time All-Star, helped out the Patillas cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Espinosa said.
