Reds Suffer 7-3 Setback
Baltimore starter Les German pitched well against the Boston Reds at Union Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-3. Baltimore is 5th in the American League with a record of 66-70.

Baltimore catcher Dave Oldfield contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a knuckleball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 16th hit of the season and put the Orioles ahead, 2-1.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Oldfield said.
