McCreery Lifts Colonels to 12-6 Win
The Louisville Colonels beat the Columbus Solons, 12-6, at Recreation Park II. Tom McCreery, in particular, was impressive. He went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times. The Colonels are now 81-50, while the Solons fall to 46-85.

Louisville used the bat of Fred Clarke to capture the win. The left fielder jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Colonels ahead, 6-3. It was his lone hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Clarke.
