The Louisville Colonels got a superb performance from pitcher Chris Paff, but the Milwaukee Brewers still won the game, 6-5. Paff threw 9.0 innings of 8-hit ball. Milwaukee reliever Kyle Duxbury got the win, raising his record to 3-3. Chris Paff was tagged with the loss. Neil Hodgson earned his 1st save in 1 tries.

Milwaukee used the timely hitting of Jim Wages to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Brewers on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning never gets dull," said Wages.

The 6th-place Brewers go to 54-70.
