Lenz Steals Spotlight, But Last Laugh Belongs to Milwaukee
The Milwaukee Brewers weathered an outstanding game by St. Louis first baseman Matt Lenz to topple the Browns, 14-10. Lenz went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Brewers, at 41-57, sit in 6th place in the American League.

Milwaukee got the win thanks to a clutch hit from Tim Donahue. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Brewers ahead, 11-10. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it had a major impact on the outcome.

"Good win for us," said Donahue. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
