Vejigantes Walk It Off for 30th Win of Season
The Loiza Vejigantes topped the Cayey Toritos, 4-3, in Liga Hostos action at Estadio de los Vejigantes. The standout performance belonged to Loiza pitcher and Moca, Puerto Rico, native Miguel Manzanares. Manzanares went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 12-7. The third-place Vejigantes are 30-35.

The Vejigantes relied on catcher Ricardo Dávila for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the ninth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"No one can call baseball boring," said Vejigantes manager Premislao Flores. "Not after a game like that."
