Cafeteros Stick Maratonistas with 4-2 Loss
|
The Maricao Cafeteros got a stellar effort from pitcher Mariano Durán, helping Maricao score a win over the visiting Coamo Maratonistas, 4-2. Durán went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 11-8. Maricao is now 31-28, Coamo 27-32.
Sebastián González, the Maricao shortstop, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 2-1, Cafeteros. For the game, González went 2 for 3 with 2 singles.
