With left fielder Valeriano García leading the charge, the Cabo Rojo Combatientes defeated the Lajas Marcianos, 7-3, at Parque de los Combatientes. García, who finished 3rd in the LB in triples with 29 in 1892, went 3-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The win gives Cabo Rojo a record of 4-0.

Early in the game, García had a run-scoring triple for Cabo Rojo. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Combatientes on top, 1-0.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said García.
