Rio Grande right-hander Senén Pérez pitched his team to victory over the Guaynabo Conquistadores at Jardines de Guaynabo. The final score was 6-4. Rio Grande, now 19-21, holds down second place in the Liga Betances El Yunque.

Rio Grande used the timely hitting of Adriel Ramírez to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cotorras on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Pérez said.
