Baltimore starter Les German pitched well against the Columbus Solons at Recreation Park II. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-4. With the win, the Orioles have a record of 34-45.

Baltimore used a timely hit from Bill Keister to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Orioles ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

German said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
