The Humacao Grises beat the Yabucoa Azucareros, 6-4, at Estadio de Yabucoa. Humacao left fielder Judá Martín had an outstanding performance. He went 4-5 with 4 singles. He scored 3 runs. Antenor Rosas got the win, improving to 8-4. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 9 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 1. The Grises raised their record to 18-16.
Filemón González, the 29-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. González contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Humacao up, 4-0.
"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," González told the Humacao Gazette. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
