Las Piedras starter Mamerto González turned in a competent performance at Parque de los Artesanos as the Artesanos beat the Trujillo Alto Macabeos, 7-6. In 10 innings, González surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 5. He allowed 6 runs. Las Piedras is now 12-22, Trujillo Alto 15-16.

The Artesanos procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Igor Cortez. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"This wasn't a good win," said González. "It was a great win."
