Rigg Shuts Out Quebec City, 2-0
|
J.T. Rigg of the Levis Fourches was on fire against the Quebec City Dons at Dons Ballpark today. He shut them out 2-0 on 3 hits, collecting 1 strikeout and allowing 1 walk.
"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Rigg said later. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
In 34 starts this season Rigg has rung up a 14-20 record and a 3.73 ERA.
