Thurso beat Gatineau on the strength of starter Scott Conroy's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. At 37-37, the Bucherons are currently third in the Ligue de Baseball du Québec Division Sud.

A key moment came with one out in the bottom of the eighth. That's when Bucherons first baseman John Alexander hit a sinker from Dennis Stoner for a 2-run single, putting Thurso up, 5-3.

"It feels good to get this one," Alexander told the Thurso Citizen.
