The Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens defeated the Quebec City Dons, 8-4, in Ligue de Baseball du Québec action at Trois-Rivieres Stadium. Trois-Rivieres pitcher Newton Ashe had a standout performance. The Trifluviens saw their win-loss record go to 40-32. At the same time, the Dons fell to 25-48.

Loquillo Robles, the Trois-Rivieres shortstop, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 4-3, Trifluviens. For the game, Robles was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Ashe.
