Trois-Rivieres Beats Sherbrooke, 6-5
The Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens topped the Sherbrooke Privateers, 6-5, in Ligue de Baseball du Québec action at Trois-Rivieres Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Trois-Rivieres pitcher and Toronto, Canada, native Newton Ashe. Trois-Rivieres is now 38-28, Sherbrooke 39-28.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Cody Kesselring was at the plate when Trois-Rivieres scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Trifluviens to go in front, 5-4.

"Winning is not something we take for granted," Kesselring said.
