Laval starter Kelly Brisson pitched well against the Levis Fourches at Insulaires Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-6. The first-place Insulaires improved to 38-25.

Had Inocencio Rodríguez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Rodríguez hit a 2-run single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Insulaires.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Laval manager Dennis Sexton.
