The Quebec City Dons overcame a good performance by Laval shortstop Curtis Ivany to knock off Laval, 8-4, at Dons Ballpark. Ivany went 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Tony Peacock picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-12. He struck out 1 in 9 innings. The Dons move to 22-35 with the win, while the Insulaires drop to 35-22.

Had Mack Jamieson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Jamieson hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Dons.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Quebec City skipper Gerardo Martín. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
