The performance of Daniel Matos proved critical in helping Laval beat Quebec City, 10-4. The Insulaires third baseman went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Laval goes to 33-21. The win puts them 6 games up in their division.

Matos contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Laval in the top of the second. With his team trailing 2-0, Matos took a changeup from Tony Peacock and stroked the home run to left-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Insulaires to leap in front, 4-2.
