Extra-Inning Win by Trifluviens Over Bucherons
Wyatt Budgell pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Thurso Bucherons, despite Budgell's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens at Bucherons Stadium. Perry Frude picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-5. He struck out 2 in 10 innings. Trois-Rivieres raised its record to 25-17 with the win.

Runs were scarce in this one. So, George Hayden's at-bat in the top of the tenth was vitally important. With two out, the Trois-Rivieres right fielder reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run, to give his team a 2-1 lead.

"That's baseball," said Thurso manager Freddie Strickland. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
