100 Wins for Laval's McAlister
His goal at twenty was to win twenty games one year, pitch until he was thirty, win the league pennant and to make some money. Well, Greg McAlister did something even better -- the 28-year-old Laval Insulaires star has now won 100 games in his career. That put him in a very select group of pitchers.

He joined that exclusive club today at Insulaires Field by whipping the Gatineau Draveurs 8-6, holding them to 12 hits in 9 innings while chalking up 2 strikeouts and 8 walks.

In the postgame interview, the modest McAlister said, "It's special to win 100 games. You don't do it by yourself. You do it with good stuff and a good bullpen. You are only as good as the guys behind you. Years from now I might look back on it and give myself a little pat on the back."

McAlister has posted 100 victories and 93 defeats in his career with a 3.41 ERA. He also has fanned 617 batters in 1853.2 innings and given up 1976 hits.
