Starting pitcher Wyatt Budgell pitched well enough to help the Thurso Bucherons beat the Gatineau Draveurs, 7-5. Budgell went the distance for Thurso. He gave up 5 runs on 13 hits. Gatineau now has a record of 11-12.

Thurso used the timely hitting of Jesús López to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Bucherons on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I felt good up there," said López. "I saw the ball well."
