Laval rode a good effort from starter Jeffrey McCarthy to beat the Gatineau Draveurs at Draveurs Stadium. The final score was 10-2. With the win, Laval lifts its record to 13-10.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Bob Corrigan came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Gatineau pitcher Bill Wheelock, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Laval on top, 3-2.

Corrigan described the clubhouse as "strangely calm" after the game.
