Markham Wheelwrights starter Bill Drier was in fine form against the Sudbury Meteors at Markham Stadium, leading his team to a win, 5-3. Markham is last in the Ontario Baseball Association Southern Division with a record of 46-62.

The Wheelwrights got a big hit from left fielder Matt Duder. In the bottom of the fifth, Duder pounded a bases-clearing double to left-center. His 27th double of the season put the Wheelwrights ahead, 4-2.

Drier attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
