The Sudbury Meteors handed the Brampton Florists a loss at Meteors Park. The final score was 6-5. Greg Hutchinson was one of the major contributors for Sudbury. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Sudbury pitcher Geoff McAfee got the win. He's now 3-2. Oscar Burt was tagged with the loss. Sudbury, at 38-40, holds down third place in the Ontario Baseball Association Northern Division.

The Meteors procured the win, in large part because of pitcher Geoff McAfee. In the bottom of the ninth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
