The Markham Wheelwrights handed the Thessalon North Stars a sound defeat, 15-3, at North Stars Park. Darío Moreno was a main contributor to the win. He was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for Markham. The win puts the Wheelwrights at 28-48, while the North Stars drop to 36-39.

With Markham leading 11-0 in the top of the sixth, Moreno came up to bat against Thessalon pitcher Emerson Pye. Moreno hit a cutter to right-center for a bases-clearing triple. His 3rd triple of the season put the Wheelwrights on top, 14-0.
