Dick Brosseau had a hand in Sault Ste. Marie defeating Sudbury by the score of 6-5. Brosseau went 2 for 2 at the plate, scoring 1 times and driving in 2 runs. Sault Ste. Marie's record now stands at 29-19, placing them first in the Ontario Baseball Association Northern Division.

Sault Ste. Marie pitcher Bob Halpenny contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball into left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Rapids ahead, 6-5.
