Colonels Win to Extend Series Lead to 3-0
The Louisville Colonels are one game away from a sweep of the World Series after stifling the Chicago Colts by a score of 8-0 at West Side Grounds 1894-1915 today. Colonels right-hander Chris Paff had a strong performance. He threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball. Louisville now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Paff, a native of Dallas, Texas, was dealing all game. He kept Chicago hitters off-balance, while giving the Colonels 9 quality innings. Paff threw 109 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 2.

"We have been clicking right from the start of this series, so our mission statement at the moment is just don't tinker with anything," Louisville manager Pete Treacey told reporters.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at West Side Grounds 1894-1915 in Chicago.
