Home Field Advantage: Nance, Louisville Open World Series with Win
The Louisville Colonels started the World Series in style today, downing the visiting Chicago Colts at Eclipse Park II by a score of 6-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Colonels right fielder Kid Nance went 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

Also having an impact was first baseman Tom McCreery, who stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth for Louisville. For the game, McCreery went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times.

"The competition leap this year was tough to adjust to and I feel like there has been another jump in the playoffs," said Nance, a rookie this season. "You're only playing the best now and everyone has time to rest and prepare for you."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Eclipse Park II in Louisville.
